But here's my version: I have a knack for solving problems.

Here's the thing about the hero's journey - and I mean the real one, not the Disney version. You leave home. You face dragons. You find treasure. You nearly die a few times. And then, if you're paying attention, you reach a stage the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung called "individuation."
It's that moment when you stop playing roles and start becoming who you actually are.
After 25 years of adventures in capitalism - the Inc. 500 highs, the food truck lows, the partnership near-misses, the TEDx stages, and the 3 AM panic attacks wondering if you can make payroll - I reached that stage.
I looked around at my scattered Venn-diagram circles: theology student, insurance career, five different business ventures, family, spiritual seeking. Each one held a piece of me, but none of them held all of me.
One Life is about integration.
Not work-life balance. Not compartmentalization. Not "business me" versus "real me."
It's about bringing it all together - the researcher, the entrepreneur, the father, the speaker, the advisor, the guy who spent 30 years investigating intelligence operations (after a childhood living next door to a dictator) and now applies that same obsessive pattern-recognition to finding gaps in business succession plans and ensuring entrepreneurs have the right business insurance.
This is the full-circle moment. The completion of the hero's journey. The return with the boon.
I'm back where I started - insurance - but completely changed. I've got 25 years of battle scars, pattern recognition, and hard-won wisdom. And now I get to use all of it to help other entrepreneurs protect your business and what they're building with the right entrepreneur insurance.
